What is this Skirting?
The Bullnose Timber Skirting Cover, also known as a Bullnose Capped Skirting Board, offers a smooth, rounded edge that suits many interior styles. Its soft profile creates a gentle transition between wall and floor, and it adds clean detail without overwhelming your space. This profile works well in coastal homes, modern renovations, and family living areas. Additionally, it blends easily with carpet, hybrid flooring, tiles, and timber flooring. For example, the curved edge complements homes with soft colour tones and light finishes.
Where This Profile Works Best
This timber skirting cover slides directly over your existing skirting boards, so you can upgrade without demolition or wall damage. As a result, installation stays fast, clean, and dust-free. It is ideal during flooring replacements, rental updates, and staged renovations. Furthermore, you can simply apply adhesive, position the board, and secure it with a finishing nail gun. In addition, you can paint or stain the timber to match your décor. Moreover, the smooth curve helps reduce visible scuffs, which keeps busy rooms looking tidy and bright.
Installation at a Glance
First, measure each wall and cut the boards to length. Next, apply construction adhesive along the back of each piece. Then press the skirting cover over the old skirting and secure it using a finishing nail gun. Afterward, fill nail holes and lightly sand the surface. Finally, paint or stain to achieve a polished finish. Therefore, both trades and confident DIY renovators can complete the job quickly. Meanwhile, the Bullnose profile provides a friendly shape that is easy to wipe clean.
